This weekend will be a busy for me because I am scheduled to be a judge in a small film festival in a college in the city. The film festival will feature London videos and other parts of the United Kingdom because they have invited some good schools. Students, with the guidance of their advisers, need to find an interesting documentary, film it and then present it to us to win the competition. The entry with the best presented and most interesting story will most likely win this contest.
There are already rumors that videos from the Caribbean that features a great travel documentary is a strong entry in the competition. However, I don’t think that’s the kind of documentary that will capture my attention. What I would like to see it some documentaries on the reality of life. Poverty, famine and politics are some good examples of this. Anyway, I don’t like to be subjective about this but I would do this fair and unbiased. Being a judge is a tough cookie. I’ve been a judge in other art competitions before and choosing between two great entries is just a headache.
